Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Storyline

Harry's fourth summer and the following year at Hogwarts are marked by the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament, in which student representatives from three different wizarding schools compete in a series of increasingly challenging contests. However, Voldemort's Death Eaters are gaining strength and even creating the Dark Mark giving evidence that the Dark Lord is ready to rise again. In the unsuspecting lives of the young wizard and witches at Hogwarts the competitors are selected by the goblet of fire, which this year makes a very surprising announcement: Hogwarts will have two representatives in the tournament, including Harry Potter! Will Harry be able to rise to the challenge for the Tri Wizard Tournament while keeping up with school or will the challenges along with Voldemort's rebirth be too much for the young hero?

• According to rumors that circulated the Internet, both 'Rowan Atkinson' (qv) and 'John Malkovich' (qv) were considered for the role of Lord Voldemort. Both rumors were proven to be untrue.
• 'Mike Newell (I)' decided against the studio's original idea of adapting the extremely long book into two separate films to be released several months apart, figuring that he could cut enough of the book's bulky subplots to make a workable film. It was 'Alfonso Cuarón' (qv), the director of _Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)_ (qv), who convinced him.
• Features one of the largest underwater sets ever constructed. It has the capacity of up to 500,000 liters (132,000 gallons) of water. The largest underwater set constructed was for _The Abyss (1989)_ (qv), which had a capacity of 7,000,000 gallons.
• Early drafts had Ron's estranged brother Percy appearing in a key supporting role but it was written out in the final drafts. In an interview, 'Chris Rankin (I)' (qv), who plays Percy, revealed that his contract of the franchise stipulates that he must appear in four films; the first three, with the option of appearing in either this movie or the next one, _Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)_ (qv). Given the fact that Percy appears much longer in the latter, he opted out of the film in favour of appearing in the next one.
• During the underwater filming 'Daniel Radcliffe' (qv), a couple of the cast members, and all of the underwater crew posed for a photo which he later sent out as a Christmas card with Rudolph noses and antlers Photoshopped on everyone's faces.
