Lions for Lambs Storyline
Lions for Lambs begins after two determined students at a West Coast University, Arian and Ernest, follow the inspiration of their idealistic professor, Dr. Malley, and attempt to do something important with their lives. But when the two make the bold decision to join the battle in Afghanistan, Malley is both moved and distraught. Now, as Arian and Ernest fight for survival in the field, they become the string that binds together two disparate stories on opposite sides of America. In California, an anguished Dr. Malley attempts to reach a privileged but disaffected student who is the very opposite of Arian and Ernest. Meanwhile, in Washington D.C. the charismatic Presidential hopeful, Senator Jasper Irving, is about to give a bombshell story to a probing TV journalist that may affect Arian and Ernest's fates.

Lions for Lambs goofs
- CONT: The white University of Illinios football in Senator Irvings office (in the background by Janine Roth's head for much of the interview), changes positions during the interview. At times it’s level on the shelf and at other times it’s sitting crooked.
- GEOG: In the time between the 2 soldiers falling, the helicopter would have traveled several hundred yards; not the few feet separating their impact points in the snow.
- CONT: After Rodriguez rolls onto his back so that Arian can see the extent of his injury, he is then shown alternately on his left side (correct) and his stomach (impossible).
- CONT: When Janine and Senator Irving are leaving his office he puts on his blazer and his collar flips up, he attempts to flip it down as he lowers his arms but fails. When the camera switches angles his arms are down and magically so is his collar.
- CONT: Prof. Malley describes Todd's position in the early lecture as off to the side away from most of the class. But in the flashbacks, Todd is in the middle of everyone.

- Professor Stephen Malley: The decisions you make now, bud, can't be changed but with years and years of hard work to redo it... And in those years you become something different. It's very fickle, and it just might not be there anymore.
Todd Hayes: Are you assuming I already made a decision? And also that I'll live to regret it?
Professor Stephen Malley: All I'm saying is that you're an adult now... And the tough thing about adulthood is that it starts before you even know it starts, when you're already a dozen decisions into it. But what you need to know, Todd, no Lifeguard is watching anymore. You're on your own. You're your own man, and the decisions you make now are yours and yours alone from here until the end. - Senator Jasper Irving: Do you want to win the War on Terror? Yes or no?
